Pool Technician — All-Inclusive Resort

Responsibilities

• Maintain pool complex across a large all-inclusive: main leisure pools, swim-up bars, kids' water park, activity pool, adults-only quiet pool
• Manage chemical dosing across multiple pool types with different bather loads — kids' pools and water parks require higher disinfection dosing than low-use adults pools
• Service pool mechanical equipment: pumps, filters, automatic chemical dosing systems, pool lighting
• Manage rainy season organic load — Nuevo Vallarta's summer storms introduce organic contamination (leaves, insects, organic particles) that challenge pool chemistry
• Maintain water park features: water slides plumbing connections, splash pad water supply, activity water features
• Ensure NOM-245 compliance across all pools; maintain daily water quality log

Requirements

• Pool maintenance experience; large resort or water park pool environment preferred
• Multi-pool chemical management across varying bather load types
• Rainy season pool chemistry adjustment knowledge
• Rotating shift availability — pools require daily management

Managing a resort pool complex for 1,000+ guests a day, through a summer rainy season that introduces new organic contamination with every storm, requires chemistry knowledge that goes beyond a standard pool technician course. The technician who understands why the alkalinity jumped after last night's storm, who corrects it before it cascades into a turbidity problem, is applying real professional knowledge to protect the guest experience in real time.
