Reservations & RevenueGroup Sales Manager — Incentive & Corporate
Large all-inclusive resort, Cancún Hotel Zone
Cancún
Fixed monthly + performance commission on group revenue closed
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for the Cancún all-inclusive resort's group and incentive market: proactively prospect corporate clients in the North American market through trade show attendance (IMEX America, Cvent CONNECT, PCMA Convening Leaders), relationship development with incentive house and DMC (Destination Management Company) decision makers, and RFP response to incoming group leads
- Respond to group RFPs with competitive proposals: prepare room block proposals, group rate structures (including meeting space, F&B minimums, and complimentary policy), and the value proposition that distinguishes the property from its Cancún competitive set in the incentive travel market
- Manage the group booking pipeline through the tentative-to-definite conversion: follow up on proposals with professional persistence, negotiate final contract terms, and manage the group through to definite status with a signed contract and initial deposit
- Execute the group contract management: coordinate with rooms division on room block protection, communicate the group's program requirements to events and F&B, manage the commission payment to the incentive house or DMC at contract specified timing
- Attend and represent the property at North American travel trade shows: Cancún all-inclusive resorts attend IMEX America (Las Vegas), PCMA, and MPI World Education Congress as part of the annual sales calendar — the group sales manager represents the property with professionalism and product knowledge that generates qualified leads
- Build and maintain the DMC and incentive house network: the North American incentive travel community is relationship-driven — the sales manager who is known and trusted by 20 DMCs in the US has a proactive lead pipeline that the unknown competitor cannot access

Work environment
Group sales manager at a Cancún all-inclusive resort. Proactive North American incentive and corporate group market development, proposal management, and contract closure in Mexico's most active incentive travel destination.
About the role
The Cancún group sales manager who closes a 400-person incentive trip for a US financial services company in December — who has spent 8 months responding to RFPs, presenting at the client's site in Atlanta, negotiating the F&B minimum and complimentary suite policy, and managing two rounds of group program changes — who receives the signed contract and the 25% deposit confirmation on a Tuesday afternoon — has just secured MXN 3.8M in room revenue and MXN 900,000 in F&B and events revenue for the property. The commission on that contract is the reward for 8 months of professional relationship management executed with patience, precision, and commercial confidence.
