Group Sales Manager — Incentive & Corporate

Ultra-luxury resort, Los Cabos corridor

Los Cabos

MXN 28,000 – 45,000 / monthFull-time, permanent

Fixed monthly + housing allowance + commission on group room revenue and F&B closed

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the North American incentive and corporate group sales pipeline for a Los Cabos ultra-luxury property: prospect and cultivate relationships with incentive house buyers (Maritz, ITA Group, One10, BCD Meetings), corporate meeting planners, and Fortune 500 company event planners who organize annual incentive programs for their top performers
  • Prepare and present world-class group proposals: the Los Cabos ultra-luxury group proposal is a premium branded document — the presentation quality, the experience narrative, the photography, and the financial structure all reflect the property's positioning and the buyer's expectations at the USD 3,000+ per person program level
  • Represent the property at North American incentive travel trade shows: IMEX America (Las Vegas), PCMA Convening Leaders (various), MPI World Education Congress, and Cvent CONNECT are the events where the Los Cabos group sales manager is visible and builds the industry relationships that generate qualified group leads
  • Manage the sport fishing and golf package integration in group proposals: Los Cabos incentive program design centers on the destination's signature experiences — a private sport fishing fleet allocation for 80 top achievers, or a two-course golf day across the corridor's most celebrated properties — the group sales manager designs and prices these inclusions as the proposal's competitive differentiators
  • Execute the group contract through to definite: navigate the negotiation of room block, F&B minimum, complimentary policy, attrition clause, and commission structure with the sophistication that the North American incentive house buyer expects from a world-class resort partner
  • Manage the post-contract group through to arrival: coordinate with events, F&B, rooms, and transportation on program requirements; communicate changes in the group's program as they evolve over the months between contract signing and arrival

  • North American incentive house and corporate planner relationships an advantage

Benefits

Work environment

Group sales manager at a Los Cabos ultra-luxury resort. North American incentive and corporate group market development, premium proposal management, and luxury program sales in Mexico's apex incentive travel destination.

About the role

The Los Cabos group sales manager who closes a 180-person pharmaceutical company incentive program — a 5-night buyout of the resort's villa wing, three private sport fishing days, a golf day at two of the corridor's top-ranked courses, and a closing-night private beach dinner under the stars with a Mexican artist performing — who signs the contract at USD 2.8M in total program revenue — has executed a sales process that ran for 14 months from first contact to signed contract, involved three site inspections, two rounds of proposal revision, and one budget cycle at the client — and that will generate more commission income in 12 months than the average hospitality professional earns in 5 years. The Los Cabos incentive sales professional's product is patience, relationship, and the credibility that a world-class resort property provides. The commission reflects the commercial weight of all three.
