Reservations & RevenueReservations Agent — Boutique Eco-Resort
Boutique eco-luxury resort, Riviera Maya corridor
Playa del Carmen
Fixed monthly + direct booking conversion bonus
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete reservations process for a boutique Riviera Maya eco-property: phone, email, OTA messaging, and direct inquiry response — each booking is a significant revenue event for a small property and the agent treats every inquiry with corresponding attention
- Execute multilingual correspondence for the European market: Spanish and English are the minimum — French or German written communication for European guests is a significant professional advantage in the PDC eco-boutique segment, where French and German guests represent 20–30% of the market
- Communicate the property's ecological product clearly and compellingly: the eco-boutique reservations agent must explain the property's environmental commitments (biodegradable products, solar power, cenote water conservation protocol, reef-safe guest standards) in a way that is a selling point rather than a disclosure — the guest who chose an eco-property did so intentionally, and the agent's authentic communication of those commitments converts the inquiry
- Manage OTA extranet for multiple booking platforms: Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb (for villa-style eco-properties), and direct website channel — maintain rate parity, availability accuracy, and respond to OTA messaging within the platform's response time standards
- Coordinate pre-arrival cenote and marine reserve access logistics: many PDC eco-property guests book specific experiences as part of their reservation — the agent manages these add-ons accurately and communicates the SEMARNAT permit requirements where applicable
- Handle group inquiry processing for eco-conscious event groups: wellness retreats, yoga teacher trainings, and small sustainability-focused corporate retreats are increasingly common in the PDC eco-property market — the agent handles initial inquiry and coordinates with the property director

Work environment
Reservations agent at a PDC / Riviera Maya boutique eco-luxury property. Multilingual, ecologically authentic booking management for a boutique property where every reservation is individually important.
About the role
The PDC eco-boutique reservations agent who responds to a German couple's email inquiry in German — who explains the property's solar power schedule, the cenote tour that is included in the stay, and the specific suite that has the most direct jungle canopy view — who closes the response with a direct booking link and a personal invitation — has demonstrated to the couple that their language, their values, and their specific preferences were all read and respected before they have paid a single euro. The booking that follows is not a transaction. It's the first moment of the guest experience.
