Reservations & Revenue Assistant

Boutique hotel, Tulum beach or jungle zone

Tulum

MXN 12,000 – 16,500 / monthFull-time, permanent

Fixed monthly + occupancy performance bonus

Responsibilities

  • Manage the reservations operations and support the revenue function at a Tulum boutique property: in a small team, the reservations agent also functions as the junior revenue analyst — monitoring pace, reporting on availability trends, and preparing the data that informs the rate decisions made by the property owner or manager
  • Process all reservation channels with consistent rate parity discipline: the Tulum property that has a disparity between its direct rate and OTA rate undermines its direct booking strategy — the agent monitors parity daily and flags any OTA price undercutting immediately
  • Manage the property's waitlist during peak periods: Tulum boutique properties are fully booked weeks in advance during high season — the reservations agent maintains an active waitlist, contacts waitlisted guests within hours of a cancellation, and manages the rapid rebooking that fills last-minute availability
  • Coordinate with the revenue manager or property owner on rate strategy: prepare weekly pace reports comparing current booking pace against the same period in the previous year, communicate pickup trend observations, and support the rate adjustment decisions that optimize the property's ADR (average daily rate)
  • Handle the property's group availability for small wellness retreat groups: the Tulum boutique property often receives requests from yoga instructors or wellness coaches who want to bring a group of 8–15 people — the reservations agent manages these with a specific group proposal process
  • Manage OTA review monitoring and response drafting

Requirements

  • Reservations experience with revenue management awareness
  • English and Spanish bilingual; European language a strong advantage
  • Pace reporting and basic revenue data management
  • OTA channel management and rate parity monitoring
  • Small group inquiry handling

Benefits

  • IMSS, aguinaldo, paid vacation + premium
  • Housing support in Tulum
  • Staff meals
  • Occupancy performance bonus
  • Career pathway toward Revenue Manager in the boutique property sector

Work environment

Reservations and revenue assistant at a Tulum boutique property. Combined reservations management and junior revenue analysis in a small-team environment where the reservations function directly shapes the property's commercial performance.

About the role

The Tulum reservations and revenue assistant who prepares the Thursday pace report at 8am — who notes that Week 42 is 22% behind last year's pace, that two competitor properties have dropped rates for that week, and who has a draft rate recommendation and a proposed OTA promotional package ready for the property manager by 9am — has moved from being a booking processor to being a commercial intelligence contributor. In a small Tulum property, that transition happens faster than anywhere else in Mexican hospitality, because there are fewer people to hide behind.
