Reservations & RevenueRevenue Analyst
Large all-inclusive resort, Cancún Hotel Zone
Cancún
Fixed monthly + performance bonus tied to RevPAR and occupancy targets
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly revenue performance reports: occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and channel mix analysis comparing current performance against budget, against the same period prior year, and against the competitive set (STR competitive set benchmarking)
- Monitor and adjust OTA and direct channel pricing in real time: the Cancún all-inclusive market has a highly competitive OTA pricing environment — the analyst monitors competitor rates on Booking.com, Expedia, and Despegar (the dominant Latin American OTA) and recommends rate adjustments to the Revenue Manager on a same-day basis when significant competitive moves occur
- Manage the property's all-inclusive package price optimization: length-of-stay pricing (longer stays at lower average nightly rates, with total stay revenue increasing), promotional package pricing for shoulder season periods, and the meal plan inclusions that affect the package's competitive positioning
- Analyze pick-up pace by market segment: the all-inclusive resort market has distinct demand patterns by nationality (Canadian markets peak Thanksgiving and Christmas; American markets peak spring break and Thanksgiving; European markets peak July and August) — the analyst tracks pickup pace by source market and flags early warning signs of demand softness by segment
- Support the Revenue Manager with the annual budget preparation: historical occupancy and ADR analysis, demand forecast by season, and market share target setting versus the competitive set
- Monitor online reputation scores and their correlation with ADR performance: higher review scores support higher rate positioning — the analyst tracks OTA review scores as a leading indicator of rate premium sustainability
Requirements
- Revenue management or analytical hotel experience; or strong data analysis background from a hospitality management program
- Excel or equivalent data analysis proficiency; Power BI or Tableau an advantage
- STR (Smith Travel Research) or STAR Report competency
- OTA platform rate management (Booking.com Extranet, Expedia Partner Central)
- English and Spanish bilingual
Benefits
- IMSS, aguinaldo, paid vacation + premium
- Staff meals
- Performance bonus tied to RevPAR outcomes
- Career development in hotel revenue management — one of hospitality's most commercially valuable and analytically demanding career paths
- Exposure to Cancún's most sophisticated hotel revenue management teams
Work environment
Revenue analyst at a Cancún all-inclusive resort. Data-driven hotel pricing analysis, competitive rate monitoring, and RevPAR performance reporting in Mexico's most commercially active leisure hotel market.
About the role
The Cancún revenue analyst who models the length-of-stay impact of adding a 4-night minimum on the peak Christmas week — who shows that a 4-night minimum increases the week's RevPAR by MXN 180 while reducing occupancy by 3% through displacement of 2-night stays — who presents the recommendation to the Revenue Manager with confidence and a clean assumptions page — has just done the kind of analysis that the Revenue Manager uses at 2pm in the pricing committee with the General Manager. The analysis that is accurate, clearly presented, and defensible is the analyst's professional credential in this role.
