Revenue & E-commerce Specialist

Boutique colonial hotel or business hotel, Mérida

Mérida

MXN 12,000 – 17,000 / monthFull-time, permanent

Fixed monthly + transport subsidy + RevPAR performance bonus

Responsibilities

  • Manage the revenue function for a Mérida hotel across the destination's distinctive seasonal calendar: October–February (peak archaeological tourism and comfortable temperatures); March–April (shoulder/transition); May–June (extreme heat suppression of domestic leisure); July–August (Yucatán school holiday domestic demand); September–October (conference and business travel recovery plus early archaeological tourism)
  • Apply the heat season rate management discipline: April–May occupancy falls across the Mérida hotel market due to extreme temperatures — the revenue specialist manages this period with minimum rate floors that protect ADR even as occupancy falls, avoiding the race-to-the-bottom discount spiral that undermines annual ADR performance
  • Manage the OTA channel presence with European market optimization: Booking.com is the dominant channel for Mérida's French and European market — the specialist maintains Booking.com content quality in French and Spanish, monitors the property's ranking within the Mérida competitive set, and applies preferred partner programs that improve visibility
  • Execute the digital marketing strategy for the archaeological tourism market: Google Ads targeting European search terms related to Chichén Itzá tourism and Yucatán travel planning; email marketing to the past guest database; and the social media content strategy that serves the cultural traveler's research behavior
  • Manage the Día de los Muertos and Guelagetza demand peaks: while less prominent than Oaxaca for these events, Mérida generates Día de Muertos demand from the international market — the specialist applies demand premium rates for these periods months in advance
  • Coordinate the hacienda and cenote package product digital marketing: the Mérida hotel's most differentiated leisure packages are centered on the Yucatán hacienda circuit and cenote tours — the specialist manages these package listings across OTA and direct channels

Requirements

  • Revenue management or e-commerce experience; cultural tourism or regional Mexican hotel preferred
  • OTA channel management with European market understanding
  • Seasonal demand analysis for destination tourism markets
  • French or German language capability a significant advantage for Mérida's European market
  • English and Spanish bilingual

Benefits

  • IMSS, aguinaldo, paid vacation + premium
  • Transport subsidy MXN 500/month
  • Staff meals
  • RevPAR performance bonus
  • Career development in Mérida's growing boutique and business hotel revenue sector

Work environment

Revenue and e-commerce specialist at a Mérida colonial boutique or business hotel. Archaeological tourism seasonal demand management, European market digital marketing, and heat season rate discipline in the Yucatán Peninsula's most commercially dynamic hotel market.

About the role

The Mérida revenue specialist who monitors the French OTA market in August — who identifies that French Booking.com searches for Mérida are up 22% year on year for November–January — who launches a targeted French-language Google search campaign for those dates, who adjusts the Booking.com French market pricing to +12% above the standard rate to capture the demand premium — and who reports in December that the French market segment ADR in November was MXN 380 above the prior year average — has done market intelligence work that the property's General Manager did not have the analytical time to do themselves. The specialist who reads the source market data before anyone else acts on it generates the revenue that the trend analysis identified.
