Resort Gift Shop Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests in resort gift shop — product orientation, recommendations, purchase assistance
• Maintain shop floor presentation — product display, inventory replenishment, cleanliness and organization
• Process sales transactions accurately — cash, credit card, and resort room charge handling
• Advise guests on Mexican artisan products — silver jewelry, Talavera ceramics, embroidered textiles, amber, black coral (where legally permitted)
• Build product knowledge across full shop inventory — guests ask questions and expect informed answers
• Execute visual merchandising changes for seasonal or promotional updates
• Monitor and report low inventory to shop manager

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
• Basic to conversational English — resort gift shop guests are predominantly North American
• Genuine enthusiasm for Mexican artisan products and cultural heritage
• Accurate cash handling and POS system operation
• Professional, warm presentation
