Resort Pool Lifeguard

Responsibilities

• Maintain active surveillance of resort pool complex — ultra-luxury Los Cabos pools often include infinity pools, swim-up bars, and multiple connected levels
• Identify and respond to aquatic emergencies — adult and child distress in pool environments
• Enforce pool safety rules with the professional composure ultra-luxury guests require — rule enforcement must be firm without disrupting the luxury guest experience
• Conduct water quality monitoring and equipment checks
• Coordinate with resort medical team on emergency response protocols
• Monitor Pacific Ocean surf conditions daily — communicate beach access safety status to guests through resort flagging system
• Brief guests on Pacific vs. Sea of Cortés swimming safety differences — critical safety information in a destination with dramatically different water conditions on each coast

Requirements

• Valid Cruz Roja or RLSS lifeguard certification
• Current CPR, first aid, and emergency oxygen certification
• Strong swimming ability
• Pacific Ocean surf and rip current knowledge — essential for Los Cabos coastal safety
• Professional presentation appropriate for ultra-luxury resort environment
• Basic English — essential; Los Cabos guests are almost exclusively North American
