Responsibilities

• Deliver professional massage treatments — Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal, reflexology
• Execute Oaxacan signature treatments — mezcal and agave fiber body scrub, black clay (barro negro) warm application treatment, copal smoke aromatherapy ritual, Zapotec healing herb poultice using local medicinal plants
• Conduct pre-treatment consultation and health screening
• Maintain boutique treatment room with genuine Oaxacan aesthetic — hand-woven textile linens, local clay vessels, copal incense, Zapotec artisan objects
• Educate guests on the cultural origins of Oaxacan treatments during delivery
• Assist in temazcal (sweat lodge) ceremony preparation and post-ceremony treatment

Requirements

• Certified massage therapist with 1+ year professional experience
• Genuine interest in Oaxacan healing traditions and indigenous plant knowledge
• Basic English — Oaxacan cultural tourism brings significant North American and European clientele
• Cultural sensitivity and respect for Zapotec healing heritage
• Warm, thoughtful professional presence appropriate for intimate boutique hotel context
