Boutique Spa Receptionist

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in spa guests at a boutique Oaxacan property — warm, culturally informed, unhurried
• Manage treatment bookings — small boutique format, personalized scheduling with artisan-focused therapists
• Advise guests on Oaxacan signature treatments with genuine cultural knowledge — temazcal ceremony preparation, mezcal body treatment, barro negro clay treatment, Zapotec herb poultice
• Coordinate therapist schedule and temazcal ceremony facilitation timing
• Process payments and manage retail — locally sourced Oaxacan beauty products, artisan wellness items, mezcal skincare
• Build relationships with repeat cultural tourism guests and boutique hotel partners
• Communicate in English with international guests; Spanish with local and domestic clientele

Requirements

• Previous hospitality or service experience preferred
• Professional English — Oaxacan boutique spa guests are predominantly international cultural tourists
• Genuine knowledge of and enthusiasm for Oaxacan healing and wellness traditions
• Warm, culturally sensitive professional approach
• Interest in artisan and indigenous products — retail guidance requires authentic knowledge
