Work environment
Eco-spa reception in a Tulum boutique property. The environment itself — often open-air, surrounded by jungle, candlelit in the evening — is unlike any standard hotel spa reception in Mexico.
About the role
The wellness guide, not the booking clerk. The Tulum spa guest who asks the receptionist "which treatment would you recommend for stress and nervous system support?" wants an answer that comes from genuine knowledge, not a menu read-back. The receptionist who says "the Mayan herb poultice works very well for that — it uses chaka and rue, both traditional calming plants, and the therapist applies them warm so the whole treatment is deeply grounding" — has made a recommendation that came from real understanding of both the tradition and the guest's need.
