Spa Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily spa operations at a boutique Mérida property — therapist team, reception, guest experience
• Ensure authentic Yucatecan cultural knowledge within the team — brief therapists on Mayan healing traditions, train on ingredient and product knowledge
• Manage expat community service consistency — coordinate returning client preferences and ongoing treatment relationships
• Handle guest escalations with boutique hospitality warmth and competence
• Manage scheduling for seasonal demand variation — Mérida's high tourist season peaks with cultural festival periods
• Train new team members on Yucatecan wellness traditions, product knowledge, and service standards

Requirements

• 2+ years spa or wellness experience
• Genuine Yucatecan cultural knowledge — Mayan healing traditions, local botanical ingredients, temazcal ceremony context
• Professional English — Mérida's boutique hotel spa guests are predominantly international cultural tourists
• Warm, relationship-oriented leadership approach appropriate for boutique context
