Steward — Colonial Boutique Hotel Restaurant

Responsibilities

• Manage all dishwashing for colonial boutique hotel restaurant: plateware, glassware, silverware, and artisanal Mexican ceramics used in a curated dining concept
• Hand-wash specialty service items: clay pots and handmade ceramic dishes common in Jalisco-inspired boutique restaurant menus require careful hand technique
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness in a colonial building: old-building kitchens require specific chemical selection to avoid damage to historic masonry surfaces and traditional clay tile floors
• Clean courtyard dining area service items: colonial hotel restaurants often extend to outdoor courtyard dining areas with their own dish return flow
• Support events and private dining: boutique hotels frequently host private dinners and celebrations that require impeccable plateware presentation
• Close and clean the kitchen nightly to chef's specification

Requirements

• Restaurant or boutique hotel stewarding experience
• Clay and ceramic cookware care — traditional Jalisco serving vessels require hand technique
• Heritage building cleaning awareness — appropriate chemical selection for historic surfaces
• Small team environment adaptability
