Steward — Pool Bar & Casual Dining

Responsibilities

• Operate bar glass washer and serve as dishwash support for pool bar service — fast turnaround of bar glassware during peak afternoon service hours
• Maintain cleanliness of pool-adjacent food preparation and service areas
• Wash and organize casual dining plateware: durable ceramic and glassware designed for high-turnover daytime service
• Clear and clean service stations between seating rotations
• Maintain outdoor bar equipment cleanliness: blender stations, ice bins, bar mats — particular attention to cleaning in the direct desert sun environment
• Support banquet outdoor events at pool deck: transport and return service items for pool-area private events or resort social functions

Requirements

• Bar glass washer operation and bar area support experience
• Comfort working in outdoor service environments in desert heat (45°C+)
• Fast-paced casual dining dishwash experience
• Physical ability for outdoor cleaning work

About the role

The pool bar at a Los Cabos resort in July operates in direct sunlight at temperatures that regularly hit 45°C, and the steward keeping the glass washer moving and the bar station clean is working in one of the most physically demanding environments in hotel F&B. The guests in the pool don't notice — they see a cold margarita arriving in a clean glass, right on schedule. That's the standard, and maintaining it in the Baja California heat is what the role demands.
