Steward — Boutique Hotel Restaurant

Responsibilities

• Manage all dishwashing for a small boutique hotel restaurant: plateware, glassware, silverware, and cookware through lunch and dinner service
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness throughout service: clear prep surfaces, scrub floors between services, clean equipment without interrupting active cooking
• Hand-wash and polish specialty service items: the boutique restaurant's curated plateware and artisanal ceramics require more care than standard hotel china
• Maintain cleaning product supply: monitor detergent, rinse-aid, and sanitizer levels; communicate shortfalls to kitchen manager in advance
• Support kitchen mise en place where needed: labeling storage containers, organizing walk-in, moving deliveries to correct storage
• Clean and close the kitchen at end of service: full clean-down of all surfaces and equipment nightly

Requirements

• Restaurant or hotel kitchen dishwashing experience
• Careful handling of artisanal ceramics and specialty plateware
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a small team
• Flexibility for split shifts in lunch/dinner restaurant operation
