Archaeological Excursion & Local Shuttle Driver

Responsibilities

• Transport hotel guests to major Yucatán archaeological sites — Chichén Itzá (2 hours), Uxmal (1 hour), Mérida to Izamal (1.5 hours), Ruta Puuc circuit (2–3 hour drive)
• Coordinate with tour guide on group transport and site arrival timing
• Execute Celestún flamingo reserve day trip transport (1.5 hours west)
• Operate hotel local shuttle — historic centro, Paseo de Montejo, San Ildefonso cathedral, local markets
• Manage archaeological site parking and vehicle logistics at busy sites
• Assist guests with heat management on long archaeological excursion days — water provision, shade information, pacing guidance

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Full Yucatán Peninsula route knowledge — Chichén Itzá, Uxmal, Ruta Puuc, Celestún, Izamal routes
• Basic English; European language useful for Mérida's significant European cultural tourism market
• Reliability for early-morning archaeological site departures — Chichén Itzá is best visited at 8am before crowds and heat peak
