Hotel Shuttle & Local Transfer Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate hotel shuttle service — transport guests between hotel, Quinta Avenida, ferry terminal (Cozumel), excursion departure points, and Cancún airport
• Execute Cozumel ferry connection transport — critical route for guests booked on island excursions
• Coordinate with hotel activities desk on excursion departure timing
• Provide guests with basic local orientation during transfers — Playa layout, beach access, Quinta Avenida walking distance
• Assist with luggage and special transport requests
• Maintain vehicle presentation and cleanliness between runs

Requirements

• Valid driver's license — passenger transport
• Knowledge of Playa del Carmen layout and local transport geography — ferry terminal, 5th Avenue, beach access points
• Basic English; additional European language useful
• Reliable and punctual — excursion connections have fixed departure windows

About the role

The navigator of Playa's geography. Playa del Carmen's layout — the beach blocks, the pedestrian Quinta Avenida, the ferry dock, the residential streets behind the tourist zone — is confusing to arriving guests and second nature to the driver who knows it. The shuttle driver who drops a guest at exactly the right street entrance to avoid the pedestrian zone, who times the Cozumel ferry run with 10 minutes to spare, who knows which parking approach to the 12th Street beach access is fastest at 8am — is providing navigational expertise that genuinely improves the guest's day.
