Local Shuttle & Hacienda Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate hotel or hacienda local shuttle — transport guests between property, SMA historic centro, Jardín Principal, artisan market, gallery circuit, El Charco del Ingenio botanical garden
• Coordinate wedding and event transport — multi-day wedding celebrations require structured shuttle service between hacienda, guest hotels, ceremony venues, and restaurants
• Execute Guanajuato City day trip transport (100km round trip) — UNESCO colonial capital excursion
• Coordinate Dolores Hidalgo day trip transport — Independence history, talavera pottery
• Assist with art and artisan purchase transport — SMA guests accumulate significant cargo during stays
• Maintain vehicle to luxury boutique presentation standards

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• SMA and Bajío regional route knowledge — Guanajuato, Dolores Hidalgo, Atotonilco routes
• Conversational English
• Wedding event transport precision — multi-vehicle coordination across celebration events
• Professional and discreet demeanor

About the role

The invisible coordinator of the wedding weekend. The SMA destination wedding involves 80 guests arriving from three US cities, staying in four different boutique hotels, attending a welcome dinner at one hacienda, a ceremony at another, and a final brunch at a third. The shuttle driver who moves those 80 people between those five locations across three days — with every vehicle arriving at the right place at the right time, with no guest left waiting — has been the logistical backbone of one of the most important weekends in a family's life. That contribution is real, even if the guests never fully understand how much coordination it required.
