Archaeological Excursion Bus Driver

Responsibilities

• Drive hotel guest excursion groups to Yucatán Peninsula archaeological and natural sites — Chichén Itzá (2 hours), Uxmal (1 hour), Ruta Puuc circuit (Kabah, Sayil, Labná — 2.5 hours), Izamal (1.5 hours)
• Execute Celestún flamingo reserve transport (1.5 hours) — coordinate with boat tour operators on arrival timing for flamingo viewing
• Drive cenote circuit routes — Cuzamá railway cenotes, Homún cenote circuit, Dzonot cenote
• Navigate Yucatán highway system with full route knowledge — Highway 261, 180, and Ruta Puuc access roads
• Coordinate with tour guide on group timing at each site — early archaeological site arrivals are critical for heat and crowd management
• Manage bus comfort on full-day Yucatán heat routes — air conditioning reliability is non-negotiable

Requirements

• Valid Class C driver's license — passenger bus
• Clean driving record
• Full Yucatán Peninsula route knowledge — all archaeological and ecological sites
• Basic English; European language useful — Mérida's cultural tourism bus groups include significant European visitors
• Physical stamina for full-day Yucatán heat routes
• Early-morning departure reliability — Chichén Itzá departures at 7am are standard
