Dive Instructor — Resort Hotel Pool & DSD Programs

Responsibilities

• Conduct Discover Scuba Diving programs in the resort's pool and at protected bay diving access: the resort hotel dive program is the primary source of first-time diver encounters in Nuevo Vallarta's large all-inclusive resort corridor
• Lead Open Water Diver certification courses for resort guests choosing to pursue certification during their stay: the 3–4 day OWD course at a resort property must be carefully time-managed to fit the certification schedule within the guest's vacation dates
• Manage the equipment rental program for certified diver guests who want to dive the local bay independently with a guide: equipment sizing, fitting, and briefing for guests who haven't dived recently or who are new to the local dive environment
• Conduct snorkeling tours from the resort's beach access: non-certified guests who prefer snorkeling need a guide who can lead them safely to the bay's best viewing areas and identify marine life during the experience
• Coordinate with the resort's activities team on dive program scheduling: the dive school's schedule must integrate with the resort's general activities calendar and pool usage plan
• Maintain a visible, inviting presence in the resort's water sports area: friendly, professional engagement at the dive desk generates walk-up inquiries that convert to program bookings

Requirements

• PADI Divemaster or Instructor; Instructor required for Open Water course facilitation
• Warm, friendly personality for resort guest interaction
• English and Spanish bilingual
• Resort-based water sports environment experience
• Patience for first-time adult learner instruction in a vacation setting
