Catamaran & Tour Vessel Deckhand

Responsibilities

• Crew catamaran snorkeling, sunset cruise, and private charter vessels operating from the Hotel Zone lagoon marina: assist the captain with departure, navigation support, and docking; manage guest boarding and disembarkation safety
• Operate snorkel activity equipment during water stops: distribute and fit fins, masks, and snorkel gear; lead the snorkel group in the water alongside the guide; manage equipment collection after water activities
• Serve open bar and food during cruise segments: Cancún catamaran tours operate open bar service from departure to dock; the crew manages bar setup, beverage service, and food distribution throughout the tour
• Conduct post-tour vessel cleaning: fresh water rinse of all equipment, deck wash, head cleaning, and gear storage preparation for the following day's operation
• Assist with fuel dock services at the lagoon marina: manage fuel intake for the operation's vessels, record fuel consumption, and communicate with the marina fuel attendant
• Perform weekly vessel maintenance tasks assigned by the captain: teak cleaning, line inspection and replacement, bilge management, and engine room visual inspection

Requirements

• Boat crew experience or strong recreational marine background
• Comfortable working on and in the water
• Physical stamina for a full day of boat crew work in Cancún's heat and humidity
• English and Spanish bilingual for international catamaran tour passenger management
• Food and beverage service competency for open bar tour service
