Responsibilities
- Crew catamaran sunset cruise and daytime marine excursion vessels operating from Cabo San Lucas marina: assist the captain with departure and docking; manage passenger boarding, safety briefing, and snorkel equipment distribution
- Support whale watching excursions during December–March season: manage vessel positioning (approach from the side, not the head), assist the marine naturalist guide with hydrophone deployment, manage guest observation on the deck during whale encounters
- Operate snorkel activity support during reef and sea lion colony stops: lead snorkel group entry, assist in-water guest management, monitor for any guest requiring assistance
- Serve food and beverages during cruise segments: open bar and food service management during catamaran tours
- Conduct post-tour vessel cleaning and equipment management: fresh water rinse of all snorkel gear, deck wash, and rigging preparation for the following day's departure
- Assist with morning vessel preparation: fuel, water, ice, safety equipment check, and provisions loading before each departure
Requirements
- Boat crew experience and marine comfort
- Physical fitness for full-day marine crew work in Los Cabos sun and heat
- English and Spanish bilingual for diverse international tour passenger demographic
- Swimming competency and water rescue basic training
- Food and beverage service for catamaran open bar operations
