Marina Dock Crew & Charter Vessel Support

Responsibilities

• Manage dock crew operations at Marina Vallarta: vessel arrival and departure line handling, fender deployment, slip assignment coordination, and fuel dock management for the marina's mixed fleet of sport fishing vessels, catamarans, and private yachts
• Assist sport fishing charter vessels with daily departure preparation: ice loading, bait bucket management, safety equipment confirmation, and VHF radio check before each morning's departure in the December–April peak fishing season
• Manage the catamaran tour fleet's daily boarding and return operations: passenger boarding assistance, gangway management, equipment stowage, and docking assistance for the multiple catamaran operators using the marina as their base
• Coordinate fuel dock operations: fuel pump operation, quantity recording, billing coordination, and supplier communication for the marina's fuel delivery scheduling
• Support private yacht services: provisioning coordination, shore power management, fresh water connection, and assistance with customs clearance documentation coordination for international vessels arriving from Pacific cruising routes
• Conduct daily marina cleanliness and safety maintenance: dock surface condition, safety line inspection, life ring and fire extinguisher checks, and cleat and bollard condition reporting

Requirements

• Dock crew experience in a commercial marina environment
• Physical fitness for outdoor dock work across Puerto Vallarta's climate range (cool and dry December–March; hot and humid July–October)
• SEMAR Capitanía de Puerto dock crew registration or willingness to obtain
• English functional for private yacht owner and international charter client interaction
• Mechanical aptitude for vessel support tasks and basic troubleshooting assistance
