Fixed monthly + guided experience tip income
Responsibilities
- Lead stand-up paddleboard sessions on Tulum's Caribbean ocean and on accessible cenote pools: the ocean paddleboard experience along the Tulum coast — passing the ruins cliff with the Castillo visible above — is an iconic visual experience that the guide positions and leads safely for small groups
- Conduct guided snorkel tours along the Tulum Marine Reserve reef: the shallow reef accessible from the Tulum beach road has consistently exceptional clarity and the guide identifies coral species, sea turtles, and reef fish for participants throughout the tour
- Lead SUP yoga and breath work sessions on cenote flat water: morning SUP yoga in a cenote pool — surrounded by jungle, the water 15 meters clear to the bottom — is one of the most sought-after wellness activities in the Tulum eco-resort market
- Apply SEMARNAT cenote and marine reserve protection protocols: reef-safe sunscreen mandatory, zero-touch for coral and cenote walls, no feeding wildlife, quiet approach at all times
- Provide naturalist guide commentary on marine and jungle biodiversity throughout each experience
- Maintain the guide's equipment (paddleboards, paddles, snorkel gear) at the property's highest standards

Work environment
Eco-luxury cenote and ocean water sports guidance in Tulum. Small-group, high-experience-quality guiding in Mexico's most visually extraordinary coastal and freshwater settings.
About the role
The guide who paddles a SUP yoga class out to the cenote at 7am — when the morning light is just reaching the water and the jungle is still — and then watches 6 people move through a silent practice on flat freshwater, the cenote walls rising around them, is delivering an experience that the participants will attempt to describe on Instagram and fail. Some things don't photograph. They have to be lived.
