Events Sales Executive — Eco-Luxury Wedding & Private Events

Eco-luxury boutique resort or private villa, Tulum beach road

Tulum

MXN 13,500 – 3,000 / monthFull-time, permanent

Base + per-contract commission (boutique pricing, fewer but higher-value contracts)

Responsibilities

  • Manage the events and wedding sales pipeline for a boutique Tulum eco-luxury property: respond to inquiries that arrive primarily through online channels, social media referrals, and travel agent introduction — the Tulum boutique market has a distinctive inquiry profile where the client often has found the property through Instagram or editorial coverage before making formal contact
  • Conduct virtual and in-person site inspections: virtual site inspections via video call are a larger proportion of the Tulum market's sales process than in resort markets, because international clients booking destination events in Tulum often cannot visit in advance — the sales executive must make the eco-experience vivid and credible over video
  • Develop proposals that lead with ecological and values positioning before pricing: the Tulum buyer who receives a proposal that opens with sustainability commitments, certified eco-standards, and specific ecological access (cenote proximity, jungle canopy, zero-waste event protocols) before the price page is reading a proposal structured for their decision-making framework
  • Coordinate with the property's operations team on ecological constraints before confirming in proposals: SEMARNAT restrictions, guest capacity at cenote sites, and biodegradable-only décor requirements must be accurately included in the proposal so the client understands what is and isn't possible before signing
  • Manage a small number of high-value contracts per month: Tulum boutique events sales is low-volume compared to resort markets — 2–4 signed contracts per month is a normal target, each worth significantly more per event than the volume market
  • Build and maintain the travel advisor and editorial referral network: Tulum's event inquiries often come through high-end travel advisors, sustainable travel publications, and editorial coverage — maintaining these relationships is a primary commercial activity

  • Hospitality or luxury events sales background; boutique or eco-luxury experience preferred
  • Genuine personal alignment with sustainability and eco-luxury values
  • Virtual site inspection presentation capability
  • English fluency; ideally Spanish and a European language
  • Travel advisor and referral network development

Benefits

  • IMSS, aguinaldo, paid vacation + premium
  • Housing support in Tulum
  • Base + per-contract commission at boutique product pricing
  • Access to eco-resort amenities and facilities
  • Career track to Boutique Sales Director or independent event company

Eco-luxury events and wedding sales in Tulum. Boutique, values-led commercial role in Mexico's most globally recognized sustainability-positioned hospitality destination.

About the role

The Los Angeles-based couple who found the Tulum property through a sustainable travel Instagram account, sent an inquiry at midnight on a Wednesday, and received a personalized 6-paragraph response by Thursday morning — citing specific details from their inquiry, including the ecological commitments of the property, and attaching a brief PDF with three cenote ceremony images — signed the contract the following Monday. The speed, the personalization, and the ecological specificity communicated exactly what the client needed to hear before they were ready to discuss pricing.
