Weddings & EventsWedding & Ceremony Coordinator — Eco-Luxury Jungle & Beach Venue
Eco-luxury boutique resort or private jungle estate, Tulum
Tulum
Fixed monthly + gratuity from boutique wedding clients
Responsibilities
- Coordinate 1–3 weddings per month at Tulum's eco-luxury boutique venues: jungle terrace ceremonies, private beach weddings at boutique eco-resorts, and Mayan-inspired spiritual ceremonies at cenote-adjacent venues
- Develop a deep understanding of the Tulum vendor ecosystem: the biodynamic florist who works with sustainable local flowers, the mezcal producer who supplies artisanal spirits, the local Mayan shaman who leads spiritual ceremonies, and the organic catering team who sources from regional producers — these relationships are the product
- Navigate SEMARNAT environmental protection constraints: Tulum's proximity to Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve and its cenote systems means that décor, noise levels, electrical use, and waste management are all governed by environmental restrictions the coordinator must know and observe
- Guide couples through the practical realities of Tulum wedding logistics: limited electricity access at some jungle venues, transportation of guests along Tulum's congested beach road, insect protection planning for outdoor evening events, and the specific conditions of open-air ceremonies in tropical weather
- Coordinate Mayan ceremony elements where requested: engagement with local Mayan ceremony leaders requires cultural respect, advance relationship-building, and logistical coordination for ceremony materials and timing
- Manage post-event environmental cleanup coordination: all venues require zero-waste event protocols; the coordinator ensures all vendors comply and produces a cleanup confirmation document for venue management
Requirements
- Event coordination experience; boutique or eco-venue wedding experience strongly preferred
- Genuine personal alignment with Tulum's sustainability and eco-luxury values — presenting these values inauthentically to couples who care deeply about them is immediately apparent
- SEMARNAT and ecological constraint awareness for Tulum's cenote and biosphere adjacent venues
- English fluency; ideally Spanish and a European language for Tulum's international wedding demographic
- Established relationships in the Tulum eco-artisanal vendor ecosystem
Benefits
- IMSS, aguinaldo, paid vacation + premium
- Housing support in Tulum area
- Fixed monthly + boutique-level gratuity income
- Access to eco-resort and jungle venue facilities
- Career development in one of the world's fastest-growing luxury destination wedding markets
Work environment
Eco-luxury boutique wedding coordination in Tulum. Low-volume, high-complexity, values-intensive event work in Mexico's most distinctive spiritual-luxury destination.
About the role
The Tulum wedding that ends at midnight with the couple's guests around a cenote fire with local musicians, the bio-luminescent water glowing below them, the jungle overhead — didn't happen because the coordinator got lucky. It happened because the coordinator spent four months understanding exactly what the couple envisioned, and then used every relationship they had in the Tulum ecosystem to make it real within the genuine constraints of a protected natural environment. That is the standard this market sets.
